Once Destroyed By Fire, Barney O'Rourke's Bar & Grill In Northern California Has Been Restored
One of Paradise’s most popular restaurants is back and better than ever! The new-and-improved Barney O’Rourke’s Bar & Grill opened in November 2022 after the original restaurant in Paradise, California burned down in the Camp Fire of 2018.

Barney O’Rourke’s opened in 1981 and is an icon in the small town of Paradise. It was one of the most popular restaurants and bars in town; a place where people would come together. When the new restaurant opened, the community came out to show their support.

The new Barney O’Rourke’s was designed in a barn style. Inside, the overall style of the restaurant has not dramatically changed. The new barn ceilings are very high, but the restaurant still has a bar in the middle with lots of seating, plus dining tables all around.

They have a full bar, plus a wide selection of beers. Barney O’Rourke’s is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Nearly 19,000 structures burned down– that’s 85% of the town’s buildings.

The city of Paradise continues to rebuild after the fire. There are new businesses and homes still being constructed even four years after the devastating fire.

The green park is a great place to take an after-dinner walk and sit on picnic benches below the towering trees that were not touched by the fire.
This beloved small-town restaurant and bar is back to business, as the town of Paradise continues to recover. Locals have come together to help rebuild this town, and are looking forward to a new and improved Paradise.
