In continuous operation since the 1960s, campers love that this park is a nod to a simpler time. In fact, Schoolhouse Canyon is part of the original Ridenhour ranch which has remained in the same family since the 1850s.
The location of this awesome campground makes it perfect for a getaway filled with wine tasting, canoeing, paddle boarding, and bicycle tours. But you'll also find that there's plenty to do within the campground's boundaries, as well.
The campsites at Schoolhouse Canyon are simply stunning. Tucked among the redwoods and within walking distance of the river, there's simply no reason to leave this little slice of bliss. Standard campsites are $42 per night, and both RVs and trailers are welcome for a minor up-charge.
The campground is open to visitors every year from Memorial Day through October 1. There are a variety of campsites to choose from in different sizes, and each campsite comes equipped with a campfire pit, grill, and handmade redwood picnic table.
