Have you been looking for the perfect way to escape the summer heat? Look no further than this magnificent hiking trail which happens to lead you to the most picturesque wading pools you've ever seen. Getting there is no simple task, but the reward is more than worth the effort!
You'll find the pools, named Cleo's Bath, by hiking the Pinecrest Loop Trail at Pinecrest Park. Follow the signs and you should have no trouble finding it. The hike is approximately four miles with some challenging sections, but it's definitely manageable if you just take your time.
The area is absolutely beautiful. You'll almost forget why you came here in the first place! Several unique gems can be found along the trail, including an old steam donkey that was once used for logging in the region.
Once you arrive at Cleo's Bath, you'll be so happy you made the trek. The place can get busy on weekends but luckily there are plenty of places to spread out. The main area consists of a natural pool about 60 feet across and 6 feet deep.
The main swimming area is great, but it's these little wading pools found within the giant slabs of granite rocks that are truly amazing. These little pools are the perfect place for a private soak.
The water is coldest during early spring and summer since it's all snow melt. However, nothing feels better on a hot summer day than a refreshing soak in some fresh mountain water.
This area is truly like something out of a dream. There's even a large waterfall that cascades down a series of rocks to form a pool at the bottom. This is a summertime destination that must not be missed.
