Enjoy More Than 40 Events at Northern California’s Magical Snow Fest This Winter
Mark your calendar for March 2023, friends– you won’t want to miss SNOWFEST in the Tahoe area. This 10-day Lake Tahoe winter festival is packed with events for the whole family.

From Kings Beach to Tahoe City, visitors can see parades, firework shows, concerts, dog and pet events, a luau, ice carving, a polar bear swim and much more!

Then, a Polar Bear Swim on Saturday, March 4 at Garwoods Grill & Pier on Lake Tahoe. On Sunday, March 5, attend the Tahoe City Dog Pull event. Your own pup can compete for a $20 entry fee.

By March, the snow is piled high, making the perfect environment for snow sports and activities.

According to the SNOWFEST website, in the early ‘80s, many skiers would visit between December and February and miss out on the great snowpack of March.

The idea was well received. Tragically, Everson died that summer in a boating accident. The parties involved decided to move forward with the event they named SNOWFEST in honor of Everson.
