Spend your days exploring and learning all about one of Northern California's most incredible lighthouses. The lighthouse was constructed in 1870, although it had to be rebuilt after the 1906 earthquake. A non-profit took over in 1984 and continues to operate the lighthouse to this day.
The museum contains everything you could ever need to know about the lighthouse. One of the museum's highlights is the display of the old light that used to be inside of the lighthouse. In person it looks absolutely massive. They say the light from this thing can be seen from 21 miles away!
Of course, the top of the lighthouse should be one of your main priorities. The spiral staircase traverses approximately 100 feet in elevation but the view is so worth it.
Make your next getaway a unique adventure that you can't have anywhere else. Escape to one of these lighthouse cabins where you can soak up the wonderful sights and sounds of the ocean right outside your door. For more information, visit the Point Arena Lighthouse website here.
