Make it your mission to visit this lovely lavender farm while the flowers are in season!
The beautiful Araceli Farms is located on the outskirts of Dixon, California. They first started growing lavender in 2017 and have since turned into one of the must-visit u-pick lavender farms in Northern California.
Araceli Farms specializes in all-things-lavender, including farming, oil distillation, manufacturing, processing, and products. They pride themselves in growing high-quality all-natural lavender, without ever using chemicals or pesticides in the production process.
The farm officially opened its incredible lavender fields to public access in 2018. Today, visitors can drop by the farm and peruse the seven varieties of lavender they grow on the farm: Grosso, Provence, White Spike, Royal Velvet, Violet Intrigue, Folgate, and Melissa.
In light of the current situation with COVID-19, the farm has made a few changes to how they operate so they can remain open to the public. The biggest change is that visitors must purchase a ticket in advance. This reservation system ensures that the farm doesn't get overly crowded this season.
A general admission ticket to the farm is just $5 and is good for a specific date and time. If you know you'll be partaking in u-pick, you'll want to grab the general admission ticket that includes a fresh bundle for $10 (this will save you a few bucks off the bundle.) Every ticket-holder is granted two hours to enjoy the farm at one time.
U-pick is only allowed on "cut your own days" and visitors are asked to bring their own shears. After wandering the lavender field and picking some fresh flowers, be sure to drop by the farm store where you'll find an array of handmade lavender products, like soaps and oils.
Lavender season is officially in full swing, so plan on stopping by Araceli Farms before it's over. Just be sure not to dawdle, because reservations to visit this lovely lavender farm are filling up fast! Learn more about the farm and how you can visit it here.
