Camp Richardson is a historic resort and marina located on the shores of South Lake Tahoe. Complete with camping sites, lodging, a general store, and more, it makes for the perfect place to explore the endlessly beautiful Lake Tahoe. However, a visit is never complete without a stop by the old-fashioned ice cream parlor.
Tucked away in the trees, the ice cream shop boasts a wonderfully vintage vibe. Open only from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, it's not uncommon to see a line out the door here. Whatever you do, don't be imitated by it. The ice cream is worth it!
You simply can't go wrong with classic flavors like chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. However, there's typically dozens of flavors to choose from, including delicious Mocha Almond Fudge, Strawberry Cheesecake, and Kona Coffee.
