As music festivals go, this is a biggie. Delighting music fans, for now, three decades, the High Sierra Music Festival is one of the largest music festivals in the country.
But it’s about much more than the music, rather a total mind, body, and spirit experience (think yoga, pilates, and “Holistic Hoopdance”) like none other!
Held in Quincy, California, a little less than a 3-hour drive north of Sacramento, the High Sierra Music Festival celebrates its 30th anniversary from June 30 to July 3.
From Rock ‘n Roll to the Blues, R&B, Soul, Hard Rock, Jazz, and more, from both well-known national acts and regional favorites, you can enjoy it here.

There are so many talented artists who appear, that often the biggest decision of the day is who to enjoy when!
The Big Meadow and Grandstand Stage are just two of the performance areas. Artist Playshops offered at the festival are popular because they offer unique opportunities for a wide array of music creativity between the designated performers and/or based on a specific music genre theme.
These take place in the festival’s High Sierra Music Hall and Funk ‘n Jamhouse. And special Troubadour Sessions are designed to provide a more intimate setting where festivalgoers can get closer to the artists in a round-robin fashion.
This is one of the aspects that makes it very fun and engaging for families, many of whom camp out as a vacation for the entire weekend. And people of all ages take part in the daily costume themes.
Outstanding musical acts, engaging workshops, and family fun. This is just the beginning of what you’ll experience at the annual High Sierra Music Festival.
