Taylor's Market is a neighborhood grocery store in Sacramento that's been around since the 1960s. For nearly 60 years, this family-owned store has been dedicated to supplying only the absolute best to the community, and it certainly shows.
The story of Taylor's Market began when Ron Taylor and Ed Schell first opened the business in 1962. They soon earned themselves a loyal customer following because of their hard work, attention to quality, and friendly and helpful customer service.
When it came time to hand the store over to a new generation of owners, Ed's son Kevin Schell and employee Danny Johnson gladly stepped up. As good friends, the two made for an excellent team and continued the tradition of supplying only high quality items and wonderful customer service.
The Schells officially retired in 2007, and ownership was given to Johnson and his wife. It's clear that Taylor's is much more than your average market with average employees. It's a family that's dedicated to being the best they can be.
The local grocery store is perhaps most well known for its old-fashioned butcher shop. Their selection of meats is second to none. On top of boasting all of the popular cuts of meat, they also offer a variety of specialty meats that are hard to find anywhere else. They even hold Butchering 101 classes, so you can learn from the absolute best.
The market is also the place to go for all of your favorite locally-made products. From sauces and wine to produce and cheese, Taylor's offers the very best of the Sacramento region.
Whether you're a longtime local or a new face in the neighborhood, you'll be treated like family when you walk into Taylor's Market. This grocery store is a true Sacramento icon that's definitely worth supporting! Learn more about their extensive selection here .
