One of our state’s most beloved family destinations is featured below and you’ll definitely want to check it out if you haven’t already. Considered a Sacramento staple, this fairytale park looks like it was ripped straight from the pages of a storybook. Even adults will find themselves enthralled with the wonderful environment and the quirky charms that this park has to offer. If you’re looking for a memorable way to spend the day with your family, be sure to check this out.
If you grew up in the Sacramento area, it's likely you either visited or at least heard of a place called Fairytale Town while growing up. Today, this unique park is still a beloved staple in the community and it's just as magical as ever.
The "amusement park" is the perfect place to create some wonderful family memories. You won't find any rides at this park, but instead a charming collection of iconic storybook characters and settings.
Multiple generations of Northern Californians have been enchanted by this park over the 50 years that it's been open. This quaint park is a place for both kids and adults to let their imaginations run wild.
Boasting over 25 playsets based on popular rhymes and fairytales, it's impossible to not be delighted by all there is to see within the park. Mother Goose, The Old Woman Who Lived In A Shoe, and Cinderella's pumpkin coach are just a few of the attractions you'll come across.
You'll even stumble upon a friendly flock of farm animals at the barn, along with several gardens and art stages.
One of the park's main objectives is to preserve the popular sets that adults may have enjoyed when they were a kid. Some of these sets like the Cheese Stands Alone and the Toy Soldiers have been lovingly maintained since the park opened in the 1950s.
On top of preserving old favorites, the park is constantly working to update and add new beloved items to the park. The Yellow Brick Road is the park's most recent addition, and more landmarks are always in the works
Visiting Fairytale Town is like traveling back to simpler times. This place was first opened in an effort to spark some magic in the imaginations of children and adults alike. Although a few things have changed over the years, we think this park still does just that.
Fairytale Town is located at 3901 Land Park Dr, Sacramento, CA 95822.
