This family-run farm has kept sheep for over 25 years, but it wasn't until 2006 when they began operating as a vineyard and creamery. The farmstead is completely devoted to minimize the use of fossil fuels and they depend on solar panels to power the farmstead.
Visitors are welcome for tours of the creamery, milking parlor, and solar-powered barn. Tours are available daily at 11 am and 2 pm for only $20 ($10 for kids) and include a cheese and wine tasting.
On the tour, you'll learn about all the methods for creating their handcrafted cheeses. Windows in the creamery allow guests to view the cheese-making process at each stage. You'll get to witness inoculation, cutting and molding of the curds, and the packaging of the cheeses.
The love that goes into crafting these beautiful cheeses is apparent. Each cheese is named from Boontling which is Boonville's unique language that originated sometime in the 19th century.
