Located in Jack London State Historic Park near Santa Rosa, California, there is a bridge on the Upper Fallen Bridge Trail and Fern Lake Loop that will amaze you and make you wonder about its history. The entire park is worth exploring too, with new beautiful features everywhere you choose to walk.
There is one main bridge that you can walk on, keeping you on the same trail on both sides. The way the trees frame it so perfectly and curve over the top will make you wonder if the entire thing was planned by Mother Nature.
Even after you’ve passed this bridge, there are other curious places you can see within the woods as well.
The bridges and interesting constructions are perfect opportunities for photos that you will definitely want to frame to remember your journey through the State Historic Park.
The proximity to Fern Lake means lots of beautiful water features on the Upper Fallen Bridge Trail. While you might want to observe these from a distance to stay dry on your hike, there’s nothing stopping you from gazing at the natural beauty for as long as you’d like!
Make your way to the next trail in the park for even more lovely sights. On the Jack London Mountain and Quarry Trail, you can find a small brook that has a nice peaceful feel. Take a few minutes and enjoy listening to the relaxing flow of water through the woods.
While walking along this trail, you’ll see the surrounding orchards in the background. There has been wildfire damage in the past few years, but the area is regrowing and still stunning.
If you’re a fan of seeing orchards up close and you’ll be in the park for a while, you can also take another walk on the Jack London Mountain Trail to see more of the growing process.
The gorgeous bridge is just the beginning of your adventure through the Jack London State Historic Park in Northern California. Have you had the chance to explore this amazing park? Let us know what you think!
