Do you like the quieter activities that life has to offer? Perhaps a good book and something warm to drink are all you need for a good time. A day of books and tea is a day well spent if you ask us. After browsing through the shelves of this bookstore, sip tea and have some cute little sandwiches to boot. Between Green Apple Books and Lovejoy’s Tea Room in Northern California, you’ll be in good hands.
Welcome to Green Apple Books and Music, a bookstore known as the best in the Bay Area, and for good reason. There's just so much to look through, with 8,000-square feet of the store for your perusal.
Browsing books that range anywhere from cats to classics will help you pass the time as you go up and down the many shelves of books. Maybe you'll find some new story to take home with you?
Even if you aren't keen on reading stories, there are plenty of other things available here. Cookbooks, kids' books with activities, and even music are sold on the shelves. There's a little something for everyone, for sure. Thankfully, exploring it all means you'll work up an appetite.
Next on the day's list is Lovejoy's Tea Room, a stop where you can get refreshed after your hunt through the shelves. Lovejoy's is a child-friendly tea room where you can reserve your spot at the table and enjoy being a little fancy for a while.
Warm scones, hot tea, and cute little sandwiches are a great way to enjoy a bit of tea in the afternoon. Quiche, salad, and combination platters are all available to choose from.
There are so many tea selections that you'll just have to see them in person. However, the lineup includes black tea, flavored tea, green tea, white tea, and herbal tea. The more tea the merrier!
If books and tea are the kind of day you want to have, make sure to mark both of these spots down on your bucket list. When you’re in need of adventure, always make sure you’ve got a page to pull from. Have you ever been to either of these places? Make sure to shout out your experiences in the comments section.
