Northern California is truly a burrito lover’s paradise. After all, we pretty much invented the oversized burrito—also known as the Mission Burrito—back in the 1960s. However, one of the biggest and best burritos isn’t found in San Francisco. It’s in Vacaville. Villa Corona is a popular eatery among locals and they are particularly famous for their adequately named “Super Burrito”. The size of this thing is enough to intimidate even those with the largest appetites. Think you can take it on? Keep scrolling to see this monstrosity for yourself.
When it comes to amazing burritos, Northern California certainly isn't lacking. However, one of the tastiest (and biggest) can be found at Villa Corona in Vacaville.
Villa Corona is a family owned and operated establishment that originally opened over 40 years ago. A couple, Ismael and Guillermina Villaseñor, left their hometown in Mexico and moved to San Francisco in the 1960s. They later moved to Napa and opened their family business, then known as "Villa Azteca", in 1972.
The couple has since retired, but the business is still operated by their children. For decades, Villa Corona has been providing flavorful and mouthwatering Mexican food to the Vacaville area, and they show no signs of letting up anytime soon.
Villa Corona specializes in all of the Mexican staples. However, they are most notable for their burritos. They offer a variety of different kinds including Carne Asada, Carnitas, Chile Verde, Pollo Asado, Vegetarian, and many more.
Each burrito is stuffed with only the finest ingredients, and a lot of them! To top it all off (literally), they are smothered in red or green sauce and drizzled with sour cream and cheese.
Their "Super Burritos" are the largest of them all and the size is bound to blow you away. It takes up the entire plate! These burritos are absolutely massive, so be sure to bring an empty stomach.
If you don't think you can stomach an entire burrito, consider one of their other tasty dishes. It really doesn't matter what you get. Each dish is bound to leave you satisfied and counting down the days until you can come back for more.
You'll find Villa Corona at 1989 Peabody Rd # 9, Vacaville, CA 95687.
