There’s truly no better place to enjoy an evening sunset than one of Northern California’s gorgeous beaches. But let’s be honest, it’s not always possible to drive to the coast to see one! Luckily, there are some virtual alternatives to visiting the beach in person. Located all along NorCal’s coast, beach webcams can be found at many of our favorite coastal spots. Check out a live view of the ocean from this peaceful coastal town with a webcam courtesy of Crescent City Harbor District. This sunset cam is set up directly from the harbor where you can see visitors come and go and birds fly across frame. See it here.
One of the coast's most extraordinary sights, Point Arena Lighthouse makes for a fabulous place to soak up an evening sunset. The lighthouse offers three different webcam views of the ocean, each refreshing once every minute. Check them out here.
Courtesy of Carmel's Tickle Pink Inn is a high-def live view of the Big Sur coastline. Watch as the waves crash up against the outcroppings, seagulls fly in and out of view, and the sunlight glimmers across the ocean waters. See it here.

Lastly, there are several live webcams near the pier in Pacifica, California that provide a 4K view of the ocean streamed directly to YouTube. This multi-camera stream allows you to switch between different views AND go back up to 12 hours. Watch as people walk along the pier at Sharp Park Beach and Mori Point.
