Wishek, North Dakota is a small town of almost exactly 1,000 residents. The town is known for its annual sauerkraut festival that has been running for nearly a century, but that’s not the food that people travel hundreds of miles to visit this town for. It does, however, make a good topping for the real star of Wishek. The food that keeps people coming back here for years after they’ve moved away is actually sausage.
Wishek’s famous sausage is by far the most popular of its kind in the entire state. If you haven’t tried it yet, it’s seriously life changing! You can order some yourself and find more information at Stan’s SuperValu site.
