Leah moved to North Dakota when she was 12 years old and has traveled from the Red River Valley to the badlands and many places in between. She loves small-town life and currently enjoys living on a small farm in the ND prairie. She's always had a passion for writing and has participated in novel writing challenges such as NaNoWriMo multiple times. Her favorite part about this job is recognizing small businesses that deserve a boost and seeing the positive affect her articles can have on their traffic, especially in rural areas that might have otherwise gone overlooked.
Even in the heart of winter there is beauty around every corner in North Dakota. Outdoors activities certainly don’t stop when the snow starts falling around here! You can take a trip to one of the most scenic spots in the Peace Garden State year round and be able to enjoy it to its fullest no matter the weather. And it’s a whole new experience from summer to winter you won’t want to miss. Check out this river park to see what we mean:
This state park is equally beautiful in the winter as it is in the spring, summer, or fall. In fact, you might say it is an entirely new and amazing experience.
The stunning Turtle River State Park, located about 22 miles west of Grand Forks, ND, is open year round and is worth seeing when it's covered in snow.
In the wintertime, the park becomes a magical snowy wonderland. The quiet the snow brings is the best kind of way to ease your thoughts and relax while just taking a simple stroll.
