Leah moved to North Dakota when she was 12 years old and has traveled from the Red River Valley to the badlands and many places in between. She loves small-town life and currently enjoys living on a small farm in the ND prairie. She's always had a passion for writing and has participated in novel writing challenges such as NaNoWriMo multiple times. Her favorite part about this job is recognizing small businesses that deserve a boost and seeing the positive affect her articles can have on their traffic, especially in rural areas that might have otherwise gone overlooked.
Bring your family to this enchanting village in North Dakota for a weekend full of magical delight. It’s a great way to get fully into the holiday spirit and it’ll only be around for one more weekend until next year. You and your kids will be able to enjoy everything we all love about Christmas, from trees, to treats, and even sleigh rides. Check it out:
The Grand Forks Park District hosts Santa Village yearly at the Lincoln Golf Course Clubhouse. There are two weekends to enjoy this event every year, and you can still visit it on December 14th, 15th, and 16th in 2018.
Santa Village brings all we know and love about Christmas for a fun, family event for kids and parents. It will definitely get everyone in the holiday spirit. It is a free event though it is recommended to bring a non-perishable food item or new toy to donate to those in need.
One of the coolest parts about Santa Village is the over 30 Christmas trees inside the clubhouse that are all beautifully decorated. Each one has a different theme and they are dazzling to see in person.
Each day of the event you can enjoy treats like hot cocoa and cookies. Of course, it wouldn't be Santa Village without Santa Claus himself. He'll be making visits with Mrs. Claus during Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
