If you need an idea for the perfect family outing on a nice day, the zoo is always a great option! Luckily for us North Dakotans, we have a few awesome zoos to visit. While many people enjoy visiting the Red River Zoo in Fargo or the lovely Chahinkapa Zoo in Wahpeton, those of you who are more centrally located have one of the best zoos to visit in the state’s capital city. This zoo has been around for over 50 years and has continued to delight and enjoy those that visit it for years. On top of that, it has helped people learn about the animals within it and to rehabilitate other animals and release them back in the wild. Step through the gates and check it out for yourself!
There are 125 species of animals in the zoo, including tigers, bears, otters, wolves, camels, elk, and so much more.
