Tori Jane is a storm chaser, writer, photographer, and the village idiot - in that order. When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
Nestled along I-94 in southeastern North Dakota at Exit #307 between the towns of Valley City and Casselton is a small – very small, we’re talking ‘population under 300’ small here – town that’s literally famous for one thing: the ridiculously good, amazingly incredible fresh-baked pies at a local rest stop. Sure, it doesn’t sound like it ought to be that big of a deal, but it is – the pies are truly just that great. Come to Tower City for the best pies in North Dakota, but stay for the adorable small-town vibe that makes the whole place worthy of exploration.
