Have you ever heard of St. Anthony, North Dakota? If the answer if no, I’m not surprised. Even if you’ve been a lifelong resident of the Peace Garden State, there’s a decent chance you’ve never heard of it, either. This itty-bitty little town is located in Morton County, west of Highway 6, and boasts a whopping, less-than-30 folks who call it home. But there’s one restaurant hidden away here that’s 150 percent worth driving from anywhere in the state to get to: Rusty’s Saloon and Grill. This incredible small-town restaurant in North Dakota might be one of my all-time favorite places to eat when I’m nearby (and when I’m not!).
Welcome to Rusty's Saloon and Grill, a family-friendly restaurant and steakhouse nestled in St. Anthony.
As a fairly new spot, it's already got a reputation of greatness, and I'm inclined to agree. There's nothing about the place that's not to love.
From the decor to the menu and everything in between, the experience one is bound to have at Rusty's is akin to the deliciousness of any competing big-name steakhouse, but it's 100 percent local.
Okay, but seriously - the prime rib served at Rusty's is utterly incredible - an explosion of flavor and tenderness that you'll find yourself craving from the moment you leave until the moment you return.
The steaks and chops are top-notch, with regular specials and so very much to look forward to. Of course, there's plenty more from where all this came from. The kitchen just never stops putting out bangers, and we're HERE for it.
The decor gives the whole place a rugged, wilderness feel, which is pretty appropriate for its middle-of-nowhere location.
Despite the small population of St. Anthony itself, sometimes you'll find the steakhouse packed with more patrons than the town's got population. When I say it's worth the drive, I mean it.
This is one small-town restaurant in North Dakota you don’t want to miss! For the full menu, hours, and more, be sure to check out the official Rusty’s Saloon & Grill website.
