There are many reasons to check out North Dakota’s many awesome trails and hikes, but did you ever think chasing the end of the rainbow for a pot of gold was one of them? That’s right, during March of 2021 you can look for clues along a trail in one of the Peace Garden State’s prettiest parks and find a pot of gold at the end! This is the perfect unique trail in North Dakota to bring kids on and have fun this month.
It's March, and with it comes the popular holiday St. Patrick's Day! You can break out your green clothes and hit the trail this month to celebrate in a fun and unique way.
North Dakota's stunning Lake Metigoshe State Park is hosting the Trail of Lucky Charms throughout March, and you'll get to see what Lucky the Leprechaun left behind.
Head to the end of the rainbow and find the pot of gold by looking for all the hidden "charms" along the trail. There are 8 of them, and you'll want to keep track of each charm shape that you find.
At the end of the trail, you might just find a pot of gold! Take a selfie next to the pot of gold and send in your list of charm shapes to the park's Facebook page and you'll be entered into a giveaway for a gift card from Marie's, a local bistro with fantastic food.
