Though North Dakota is one of the least populated states in the United States, it’s growing as more and more people realize what an amazing place it is. In 2020, it’s set to hit a new population record according to the US Census Bureau, and here’s why new residents are steadily flowing in – and loving it here.

North Dakota, also known as the Peace Garden State, Flickertail State, and Roughrider State, will set a new population record in 2020 as it reaches 762,000 residents. Approximately 4,000 new residents have come to North Dakota just since 2018.

The largest cities in the state include Fargo and West Fargo, Bismarck, Grand Forks, Minot, and Williston. Both Fargo and Bismarck have had a nearly 20% increase in population since the last national census in 2010.

While North Dakota is still one of the least populated states, it's obvious that some people are catching on that it's one of the best places to live. Constantly ranked high in areas like quality of life, available opportunities, infrastructure, and many more, ND shines in terms of being a wonderful place to settle.
