Leah moved to North Dakota when she was 12 years old and has traveled from the Red River Valley to the badlands and many places in between. She loves small-town life and currently enjoys living on a small farm in the ND prairie. She's always had a passion for writing and has participated in novel writing challenges such as NaNoWriMo multiple times. Her favorite part about this job is recognizing small businesses that deserve a boost and seeing the positive affect her articles can have on their traffic, especially in rural areas that might have otherwise gone overlooked.
Challenge your mind to figure out the incredible optical illusions at this brand new attraction in North Dakota. This unusual house out in the badlands has invited people to come and see just how wacky the experience is, and it’s a blast for all ages. Check it out for yourself and prepare to be boggled:
Medora, North Dakota is one of the state's best tourist destinations. With a famous outdoor musical, museums, historic places, and of course the incredible Theodore Roosevelt National Park as the scenery surrounding it, how could it get any better?
Former members of the Medora Musical set out to create a new attraction in the town and they did exactly that. Perception Medora opened in June of 2019 and invites people to see this unusual building and more hiding in the hills of the badlands.
The crooked building is just as fascinating to experience both inside and out. The tilted building looks totally bizarre from the inside when you're walking in it.
Sideways rooms, crazy size-bending illusions, and even magic tricks are included on the tour when you visit. You'll definitely want to bring your camera for this one — there are many fun photo opportunities!
