North Dakota winter usually means snow – and lots of it. While that may drive some people inside, others are just itching for that good snowfall so they can get their snowmobile out of the garage and out into the drifts. Luckily for residents and visitors of the Peace Garden State, over 140 new miles of snowmobile trails were added in 2020. If you enjoy snowmobiling in North Dakota, here’s some exciting news for when there’s enough snow to head out:
North Dakota's abundance of large, snowy expanses every winter make it a great place for snowmobiling. Many North Dakotans love taking part in this activity every year.
North Dakota has 2,800 miles of snowmobile routes across the state, part of 13 different trail networks. In 2020, more than 140 miles of brand new trails were added in McLean County and Ward County.
What better way to go out and enjoy the winter scenery than zipping across the terrain on a snowmobile? Whether you do it solo or with some friends, you're in for a great time.
Even if you're not a snowmobiler, you can still enjoy it when it gets snowy in North Dakota at places like Bottineau Winter Park or Frost Fire Ski Park, for skiing, tubing, and more.
