North Dakotans aren’t super serious or judgmental people, but there are a few things that just won’t fly here. If you do these, you might get some funny looks from people who live here. These are kind of like rules to live by that just come from habits we get living here, and you’d best know them!
It isn't soda - that is for baking. It is pop and anyone who says differently is just plain wrong. North Dakotans know this!
If it's going to be cold, we'll be prepared. We don't mess around and run outside in shorts and a light jacket when there are windchill warnings and the temperature is well below zero.

North Dakota has quite a few beautiful lakes and rivers with great fishing, and we love it. There's no way you'd catch someone turning down a nice fishing trip for something else.
