Tori Jane is a storm chaser, writer, photographer, and the village idiot - in that order. When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
Fun fact: North Dakota is home to more than 400 lakes. Seriously. It may not be known for having miles and miles of shoreline as a landlocked state, but maybe it should be. Of all these lakes and ponds all over the state, most of ’em make for excellent recreation and outdoor opportunities; take, for instance, the little slice of paradise otherwise known as Spring Lake, which is located within Spring Lake Park in Williston. I love this lake – it’s crystal clear, stunningly blue, and wonderfully clean. The folks who know it’s here love it, too, and honestly – maybe I’m giving away a local secret by writing about it. But it’s so pretty that you’d probably want to blab about it, too. This is one lake in North Dakota worthy of all the love in the world.
For more information about Spring Lake and Spring Lake Park, be sure to visit the official Williston Parks and Rec website. If you’re planning on visiting in the winter, make sure you’re prepared with our awesome winter essentials packing list. And if you’ve been to Spring Lake, let me know what you loved about it in the comments!
