When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
Fun fact: North Dakota is home to more than 400 lakes. Seriously. It may not be known for having miles and miles of shoreline as a landlocked state, but maybe it should be. Of all these lakes and ponds all over the state, most of ’em make for excellent recreation and outdoor opportunities; take, for instance, the little slice of paradise otherwise known as Spring Lake, which is located within Spring Lake Park in Williston. I love this lake – it’s crystal clear, stunningly blue, and wonderfully clean. The folks who know it’s here love it, too, and honestly – maybe I’m giving away a local secret by writing about it. But it’s so pretty that you’d probably want to blab about it, too. This is one lake in North Dakota worthy of all the love in the world.
It has an average depth of under five feet, making it pretty family-friendly. At its deepest, it's 15 and a half feet deep - just enough for boating, swimming, and other shenanigans.

Fishing and swimming are just a couple of the fun things to do at this particular lake in North Dakota.
There's also a walking trail, a dog park, volleyball courts, and lots of shelters for parties or picnics. It's a blast for every family member, no matter what they hope to get out of it.
...and Spring Lake makes for a wonderful starting point.
