Tori Jane is a storm chaser, writer, photographer, and the village idiot - in that order. When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
It’s hard to argue that The Simpsons isn’t an iconic cultural phenomenon – one that brought the phrase mmmmm, donuts, into the household regularly (at least during the ’90s and early 2000s, anyway). If you’re one of those folks who find yourself salivating at the thought of the best donuts in North Dakota, you’re in luck, frienderino. There’s a little bake shop known as Sandy’s Donuts in and around Fargo that you’re sure to be instantly obsessed with (much like we were). Check it out, and come hungry. We dare you not to eat everything.
Once upon a time (in the 1980s), a man by the name of Sandy Ostlund opened up his very own donut shop.
This little donut shop in ND is quite literally famous for its outrageously delicious donuts, made to this day from scratch with the original recipe that skyrocketed Sandy's to the top early on.

The decor on the donuts changes throughout the year with the seasons, and you can even order donuts that look like iconic characters like those you've seen on Sesame Street.
Sandy's Donuts are truly unlike any other donut shop in the world. Sure, we might not have the world-famous Voodoo Donuts around in North Dakota, but we've got Sandy's, and honestly... that's better.
...but we promise - we promise - the wait is more than worth it.
There are several Sandy’s locations in and around Fargo and West Fargo now, which is wonderful – if you live in the area, you’ll never have to go too far. For the best donuts in North Dakota, you’ll want to hit Sandy’s despite the inevitable line out the door. For the latest hours, locations, and specials, be sure to check out the official Sandy’s Donuts website.
