Leah moved to North Dakota when she was 12 years old and has traveled from the Red River Valley to the badlands and many places in between. She loves small-town life and currently enjoys living on a small farm in the ND prairie. She's always had a passion for writing and has participated in novel writing challenges such as NaNoWriMo multiple times. Her favorite part about this job is recognizing small businesses that deserve a boost and seeing the positive affect her articles can have on their traffic, especially in rural areas that might have otherwise gone overlooked.
There are few better ways to enjoy some simple yet beautiful holiday cheer than looking at glittering lights displays. Seeing the twinkling colors of thousands of light strings is a magic that can enchant people no matter what age. North Dakota has some wonderful holiday lights displays that even the Grinch would marvel at, and this is one of them:
Fargo's beautiful Lindenwood Park is perfect for spring flowers, summer fun, fall trails, and a special holiday season treat once the snow starts falling.
Holiday Lights in Lindenwood Park is an annual lights display organized by the FM Sertoma Club and filled with lights by more than 75 local businesses and groups.
Each group makes its own display of dazzling lights, resulting in thousands of gorgeous colors and setups. You can experience these lights by driving through the park in the warmth of your car and just marveling at the displays you pass.
From elaborate scenes to decked-out work equipment representing the businesses who put them up, there is no shortage of picture-perfect scenes to look at.
You can visit the park and take a drive through it every night of December from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM. Admission is just $7 per car, and if you bring a non-perishable canned item to donate to local charities, it's only $6.
This huge park is absolutely filled with these holiday lights displays, and with proceeds going to community charities, it'll spread holiday cheer in more ways than one.
These lights and many, many more will be on display every night of December until Tuesday, December 31st, 2019. Visit the FM Sertoma Club’s website for more information about Holiday Lights in Lindenwood Park. Are you planning on visiting it this year?
