May is finally here and that means Memorial Day weekend is soon. Spend your Memorial Day weekend at this kite extravaganza in North Dakota: Sky Fest Over Ft. Stevenson.
This event is in Ft. Stevenson State Park near Garrison, North Dakota and right alongside beautiful Lake Sakakawea. The long weekend is gearing up to be three days of awesome kite fun.
From May 25-27, 2019, the fort will turn into a family friendly festival where you can camp in the park, enjoy the vendors, take part in activities, and of course fly kites to your heart's content.
Professional kite makers, enthusiasts, and flying groups from all over will be coming to Ft. Stevenson for the weekend to show off their incredible kites. You don't need a fancy, expensive kite to fly here, though - you can use whatever you have and make full use of the wide open North Dakota skies.
