When you come across this little restaurant, you might not think much of it from the outside. It’s rather small, fairly humble looking, and seems like it’s been around for a while. But when you see how packed the parking lot is during breakfast time, you’ll realize it’s more than your usual local diner – it’s a local favorite and then some. This charming little place has people practically obsessed with it and draws in both the neighborhood and passing travelers – and for good reason. Take a look for yourself:
The Little Cottage Cafe in Bismarck, North Dakota was established in 1965 and has been serving up hot, fresh meals to locals since then.
You can get a whole smorgasbord of your favorite breakfast foods, served up perfectly every time. Pancakes, eggs, toast, sausage, bacon, and french toast are all available, just to name a few!
Get a waffle piled high with berries and whipped cream or try their house omelette - a popular favorite - and you'll easily fall in love with this place.
Of course, being a North Dakotan cafe, there have to be caramel rolls - and The Little Cottage Cafe certainly delivers. Their caramel rolls are big, gooey, and truly scrumptious in every sense of the word. Even if you're full from the big, tasty breakfast you just had, you won't be able to resist taking a caramel roll home for later.
Breakfast isn't all they have, of course. The Little Cottage Cafe serves lunch and dinner as well, including things like burgers, patty melts, other sandwiches, chicken, and more.
Don't forget to try their fantastic homemade pie for dessert! You definitely won't leave this place feeling any left than stuffed with food so good, it has been voted the best in Bismarck multiple years in a row.
