Leah moved to North Dakota when she was 12 years old and has traveled from the Red River Valley to the badlands and many places in between. She loves small-town life and currently enjoys living on a small farm in the ND prairie. She's always had a passion for writing and has participated in novel writing challenges such as NaNoWriMo multiple times. Her favorite part about this job is recognizing small businesses that deserve a boost and seeing the positive affect her articles can have on their traffic, especially in rural areas that might have otherwise gone overlooked.
When you think of horse racing, your mind probably goes to Kentucky, New York, or California. Did you know that North Dakota has its own racetracks? Indeed, there are two racetracks in the entire state and they are only open for a limited amount of days each year. Feel the thrill of watching live horse racing, enjoy a day out under the summer sun, and perhaps get lucky with betting right at the North Dakota Horse Park this July.
If you've never been to a horse racetrack before and don't want to leave North Dakota to experience it, you're in luck - the North Dakota Horse Park in Fargo can give you that experience right here on the prairie!
Along with watching the actual races, you can experience everything else that comes with being at a real horse track. View the horses and jockeys up close in the paddock pre-race.
All of this is offered at only $8 for General Admission and kids get in for free! Looking for a way to spend a day in North Dakota this summer? A trip to the North Dakota Horse Park is definitely a great idea.
