The North Dakota Heritage Center is a huge, state-of-the-art museum all about North Dakota's history. Described as "the people's place," this museum is open to everyone at no cost and has plenty to see and do.
Everything about North Dakota's history is presented here, from millions of years ago when the dinosaurs roamed what we know call our state to its statehood in 1889 and beyond.
Huge, fascinating exhibits will tell you the stories of the prairie. There permanent exhibits you can see again and again as well as rotating exhibits that change over time so there is always something new and interesting to see here.
Giant dinosaur skeletons will delight kids and fascinate adults, mounted animals of the plains set in beautiful scenes will take you back to North Dakota's wild roots.
