Leah moved to North Dakota when she was 12 years old and has traveled from the Red River Valley to the badlands and many places in between. She loves small-town life and currently enjoys living on a small farm in the ND prairie. She's always had a passion for writing and has participated in novel writing challenges such as NaNoWriMo multiple times. Her favorite part about this job is recognizing small businesses that deserve a boost and seeing the positive affect her articles can have on their traffic, especially in rural areas that might have otherwise gone overlooked.
If you’re feeling really brave and are up for a bit of a scare this Halloween season, then you might be able to take on Acres of Terror. This terrifying scare attraction is only around for a limited time and is considered one of the spookiest, scariest experiences in North Dakota. This is much more than just any old haunted house attraction, and it’s not for the faint-hearted. Take a look if you dare:
Leonard, North Dakota is a small town a ways southwest of Fargo. For most of the year, it's quiet and peaceful - until Halloween rolls around when it becomes scare central.
Acres of Terror is the terrifying scare attraction located just on the edge of town, and it's one of the most popular haunted destinations in the state. This isn't for little kids or easily scared people, so be warned and continue on if you're daring enough.
Acres of Terror has quite the cast of characters that are there to give you a thrill and a chill. Jump on a school bus driven by a werewolf and it'll take you to where the spooky stuff begins.
... and into suspicious forests, where you never know what's going to jump out at you. You'll also be guided into scary buildings and get an entire, chilling tour.
Acres of Terror is open from dawn until midnight, every Friday and Saturday until November 2nd, 2019. Rain or shine, they'll still be out there ready to give you the fright of your life.
