This tiny North Dakota town has put itself on the map as an unusual yet fun tourist destination that is impossible not to love. Even though it might seem a little weird to some people, this eccentric town is well worth a visit to see exactly what makes it unique. And believe it or not, all of this was widely the work of just one man in an effort to keep this itty bitty town alive and known. Take a look for yourself:

This small town in Hettinger County, North Dakota only has a population of 160 but has been gaining the interest of thousands more. At a first glance, it looks pretty typical of a ND small town of that size...

The town was founded in 1910 and at peak population had just around 400 residents. Today, it has made national news and world record books largely due in part to one man - Gary Greff.

Another quirky yet awesome place in Regent is the Enchanted Castle hotel, where you can stay in a medieval-style castle complete with suits of armor and coat of arms, among many other fun additions. This place was also made by Gary Greff.

And, of course, what has really made this town stand out and become well known is the Enchanted Highway, especially including the sculpture below - a world record breaker.

Regent, North Dakota has made national news for a couple of other things, too, including an article about it written in The Wall Street Journal about disputing telephone companies in the town. It certainly has a lot of unusual characteristics about it, but Regent is a great place for the whole family to visit to explore this hidden gem! You definitely won’t find another town like it.
