She loves small-town life and currently enjoys living on a small farm in the ND prairie. Her favorite part about this job is recognizing small businesses that deserve a boost and seeing the positive affect her articles can have on their traffic, especially in rural areas that might have otherwise gone overlooked.
Bonanzaville is fun to visit throughout the year for a trip back in time. There’s only one day a year, however, where you can do that while also enjoying some Christmas cheer. This historic “town” of sorts hosts an annual holiday event that thousands of people visit, and you’ll want to check it out for yourself. Here’s everything you should know about their 2019 event:
Bonanzaville is a museum of sorts in West Fargo, bringing in historic buildings from all around North Dakota and creating a full-scale town that encapsulates what life once was on the prairie. Each year they host a special holiday event where the entire town gets decked out for the holidays, and more.
Lights, decorations, and lots of holiday cheer are spread throughout Bonanzaville during their annual Christmas on the Prairie. For 2019, it will be held on Saturday, December 7th, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Throughout that festive day, your whole family can visit and enjoy the decorations, history, and fun activities. It's like stepping back in time to Christmas past and appreciating a simpler time.
Wagon rides will take you through the picturesque, decorated town and will be happening throughout the day. Special holiday gifts and treats will be for sale, too.
There will even be historic demonstrations to give you a glimpse into what celebrating Christmas on the prairie was like decades ago. It's a magical experience anyone would enjoy, and you won't want to miss it.
