Meander through the park’s thousands of glittering lights and take in the beautiful, festive displays. There’s quite a few to see, and you can even drive through them from the warmth of your car. It’s only around for a limited time, so here’s what you need to know:
Minot, North Dakota is one of the best cities to visit during the holidays. With decorations throughout downtown, places like the Scandinavian Heritage Park all decked out in lights, and their special Christmas in the Park display, it's absolutely full of holiday cheer.
The Christmas in the Park is hosted by the Minot Sertoma Club. It transforms the Oak Park into a Christmas wonderland full of beautiful lights that you can explore. It lasts throughout December from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM every night.
To visit these stunning displays, the fee is $5 per car to drive through. This way you can stay cozy and warm in the car, and the proceeds go back to helping the community.
Thousands of colorful, glittering lights in all kinds of shapes and displays are placed throughout the park. They depict everything from iconic sights in Minot to all the classic holiday characters you know and love.
Local businesses sponsor these displays and add their own special flair to each of them. It's a mesmerizing trip through the park for everyone in the car.
