This tiny town just outside of Bismarck is made up of over 20 historic buildings that have been moved in from small towns all over North Dakota.
It's called Buckstop Junction, and although it never was a true town, it certainly looks and feels like one! It'll make you feel like you've stepped back in time into the early 1900s.
Many different buildings make up the town, including a bank, post office, barber shop, church, blacksmith, hotel, service station, and old houses - among many others.
Each building is kept pristine and accurate to their time period inside and out, from the original exteriors to the antiques inside. It truly is like a time warp to the charming early days of North Dakota's statehood.
Many of the buildings are well over 100 years old and are a treat to tour through. You'll learn about more than just how towns looked back in the day, but about each individual building's history and where they came from. It's like many pieces of North Dakota's story all together.
