You'd Never Know Some Of The Best Old-Fashioned Comfort Food In North Dakota Is Hiding In Grand Forks

Let’s be real here: comfort food is seriously just the best. It doesn’t even matter what the occasion is; sometimes, all you want is a big, huge order of hot and juicy chicken tenders, or a French Dip sandwich piled high with incredible roast beef and served with the perfect side of au jus. Sometimes, you need the perfect little mom-and-pop restaurant at which to find these things. Well, friends, we have found a spot in Grand Forks that might just take the cake (or the pancakes) for the best comfort food you can find in the entire state.
Darcy's Cafe, hiding in Grand Forks, serves up the most incredible comfort food in North Dakota - you have to taste it to believe it, but once you do, you'll be coming back for more every week... or day. Either way, we're not here to judge.
This mom-and-pop hole-in-the-wall has been around for quite some time, and in that time it's amassed its very own cult following of devoted diners that return time and time again for the incredible menu at Darcy's.
We aren't surprised; our mouths were watering just cruising through the photos of their incredible dishes on social media.
Some of the to-die-for items on the menu (which serves breakfast and lunch seven days a week) include the above-pictured pancakes with icing, French toast, huge omelets to die for, juicy burgers, a perfect BLT, that French dip we mentioned a minute ago, and so, so much more.
The atmosphere inside feels like just what you'd hope it did: warm, inviting, familiar, and friendly - like everyone here knows and loves you right away.
The French dip (is that three mentions of it now?), the perfectly-prepared BLT, and the chili burger. We could go on, but we think you might get the idea.
Devoted fans will be happy to learn that Darcy's has a store, too!
