When you think of BBQ, where does your mind go? Memphis, Tennessee, perhaps, or Texas or any of the other southern states that are known for their briskets, ribs, and more. What about a small town in the prairie? Indeed, in a town of fewer than 550 residents, there is the wonderful BackDraft Cafe and BBQ in North Dakota. See what reviewers are raving about and you’ll understand why it’s worth visiting.
Welcome to BackDraft Cafe & BBQ, a small-town eatery serving up big eats.
BackDraft is firefighter-themed and has the best smoked meats you'll try on the prairie. Stop by the restaurant on Main Street in Berthold, North Dakota and be sure to come hungry, because you'll need to room.
The restaurant serves up a variety of BBQ meats, ranging from ribs to BBQ chicken. The sides include smoked mac and cheese, beans, and all the other BBQ favorites.
You have to try their specialty: the Brisket Burger. This sandwich includes a cheeseburger with slices of the restaurant's amazing brisket on top, in between two slices of Texas Toast. It's drool-worthy, to say the least!
Can't make it out to Berthold but live somewhere in Ward County? You might spot the BackDraft food truck in places like Minot. Plus, they offer catering. Give them a try - you won't regret it!
