One of the best trails to take to experience the season is the North Fork Trail. You can reach it from the scenic overlook parking lot or the Redetzke Ridge Trailhead.
The 1.64-mile trail will take you through oak woodlands, alongside the trickling Bjorn Creek, and into some truly magical sights. most of it goes through forest but it also will take you alongside steep prairie hills and over ridges.
With that short of a trail and that rewarding of a view, you definitely don't want to miss this hike before the fall foliage peak is over in late October. It's well worth every step you take!
