While our exciting autumn plans don’t include thoughts of the 2023-2024 winter predictions for North Carolina, the forecast is out. And the Winter Solstice will occur on Dec. 21 whether we like it or not. Thankfully, the Farmers’ Almanac predictions allow us to prepare. Although living in North Carolina typically means milder temperatures, we also get our share of snowfalls and ice. Let’s check out the winter predictions for North Carolina, which are Regions 3 and 4 on the Farmers’ Almanac map.

For those wanting snow, Region 3 Farmers' Almanac predictions include the Blue Ridge Mountains where above-normal precipitation and snowfall are expected.

The snowiest times should come in late December, mid-to-late January, and early to mid-February.
