Each year, Spanky's keeps a runny tally of the number of Viking Burger Challenges successfully completed by residents from each state. Those who win the Viking Burger Challenge are proud to earn another point for their home state.
Nearly 400 Viking Burgers have been consumed by visitors from 25 states in 2019. Moreover, since the Viking Burger Challenge debuted, more than 4,000 of the epic burgers have been consumed in under an hour. Guests winning the challenge have been from 44 states.
In 2019, it seems Virginia will claim top honors for the year because, as of today, Spanky's is closed for the holidays, reopening on Jan. 6, 2020.
