Durham's Museum of Life + Science offers the amazing Hideaway Woods Nature adventure. Perfect for all ages, there's the Treehouse Adventure with eight separate treehouses connected by rope bridges and cargo nets with two slides for accessing ground. There's also the 'mini-section' designed with little explorers in mind.

The Greensboro Science Center offers a more grown-up treetop adventure perfect for kids, teens and adults. The SkyWild Treetop Adventure Theme Park seeks to teach young thrill-seekers animal behaviors and movements by reflecting them in this treetop ropes course.

Located near Saluda, the rugged Green River Gorge is a pristine place for exploration, and perfect for the thrill-seeker. The Gorge Zipline Canopy Tour is one of America's steepest and fastest ziplines featuring 1.25 miles of airtime descending you 1,100 feet via 11 lines connected by a sky bridge.
Both ZipQuest and Kersey Valley offer nighttime treetop adventures for my fellow night owls. Kersey Valley has a 60-foot, solar powered flight deck you leap off and zipline into the night, with glow stick in hand. At ZipQuest, you can explore the rope courses you'd normally navigate during the day, with a headlamp to guide your nighttime adventures.
High up in the Blue Ridge, Navitat Canopy Adventures offers a "Tree-Based" adventure that allows you to explore some of the most scenic, usually unseen, portions of the Blue Ridge. Here you'll find two SkyBridges spanning 200 feet each and suspended 40 feet in the air. There are also 10 zip lines and forest swings.
