You can experience just that at The Tavern in Old Salem, located in Winston-Salem.
The Tavern was built in 1819 as an annex to the original, historic 1784 tavern.
The family owned and operated restaurant serves dishes inspired by the Moravian families that settled in this area during the 18th century.

To keep the Moravian theme alive, diners are treated to servers and waitstaff adorning period-piece attire.
