It’s a rare occasion when you find a restaurant with whimsical decor that’s as beautiful as the the food is delicious, but that’s positively the case with this novel eatery in Weaverville. The very next time you’re in the Asheville area, pop in the car and drive 10 minutes north to see (and taste) all that the Stoney Knob Cafe has to offer.
From the moment you pull into the parking lot, you'll get a sense of the wonderment awaiting inside the door. The exterior is funky, trendy, colorful, and inviting.
You're also not leaving hungry. (If you do, then you're doing it wrong... ) The menu is filled with inventive and creative items with American, Greek, and European flair. (The dish in the photo below is Szechuan Salmon.)
From the odd exterior you may not be able to guess exactly all of the funky goodness you'll find inside this roadside eatery. Even the ceilings are adorned with fun.
