Are you ready for an attraction that will both thrill you and tug at your heart strings? Just outside of Charlotte in the sprawling rural-like suburbs of Concord, there’s a weekly rodeo all summer long – where for only a few bucks admission, you’ll see things that will take your love of North Carolina (and the rodeo) to a new level.
Every Sunday evening, Stegall's Arena erupts with round after round of anticipation.
The local arena has been hosting professional, amateur, and even beginner bull and sheep riding since 1992. And while some of the events, like the professional and amateur bull riding, are thrilling to watch...
Other events, like the little tykes sheep riding, are outright as cute as can be.
Nothing so cute (or brave) could ever tug at your heart strings quite like a courageous little guy who's mounting a sheep for the first time in the same ring where he (or she) has just seen an adult struggle to stay on a kicking and bucking bull for eight seconds.

The bleachers at Stegall's fill up each week (admission is so affordable you can bring the whole family without emptying your wallet - see prices below) with a melting pot of onlookers.
Some are the friends and family of the small kids taking their first ride, while others are here to see and cheer on the local amateur adults and all of the wild action taking place.
Don't be surprised to find women on the bulls! Women have come a long way on the circuit, so be sure to cheer them on as they accept the eight-second challenge on some of the same bulls as their male counterparts.
For sure, an evening at the rodeo — if you're never been to one that is local — is a real treat.
The action at this weekly rodeo in North Carolina begins every Sunday at 7 p.m. and usually ends by 9 p.m. The cost of admission is $10/adults; kids age 10 and under get in free. Learn more about Stegall’s Arena in Concord from their official website and follow the Facebook page here.
