This peaceful retreat has pretty trails, rustic cabins, and a picturesque pier extending on the 572-acre natural lake. Enjoy some much-needed time to look within at this lovely, wild space.

In 1936, the land surrounding the lake at Singletary Lake State Park was purchased by the National Park Service.

It was developed as a group camp but has expanded, giving public access to hiking, fishing, and paddling inside of the captivating Bladen Lakes State Forest. This makes it one of the most remote North Carolina state parks.
We love the handsome sculpture honoring the hard work of the millions of Civilian Conservation Corps workers who served from 1933-1942.
