20. When the Hornets finally got back what was rightfully theirs, THEIR NAME.
19. In 1974 and 1983 when NC State won the NCAA National Championship.
18. When the infamous pirate, Blackbeard, wanted to call our state home.
17. Each time you read about North Carolina in a magazine. Rather it be our food, our wine, our sports, or the view!
16. When Earl Scruggs educated the whole nation on how to properly play a banjo.
15. In 1957, 1982, 1993, 2005 and 2009 when the Tarheels won the NCAA championship.
14. When Asheville, NC was named 'BeerCity USA'
