When we think of forests in North Carolina, bamboo isn’t the natural go-to for the kinds of timber making up the forest. In North Carolina, a wonderful bamboo forest sits nestled in the mountain valley town of Cherokee. Known for many things, Cherokee is perhaps least of all known for the hidden bamboo forest, but it’s positively worthy of a visit.
